Coleman is Lancashire-born. Coleman was head of the class in the Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A level. In response to questions about her Emmerdale role, she said she regretted having not had a traditional university experience. Coleman was at high school, was a student of the theatre company In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. An award was presented to her for the performance, while the play received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. Coleman was twice nominated for awards in 2007. The award was for as the Best Newcomer of 2007 at British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009 she won nominated in the two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman received the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. On the 21st March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman would as the Doctor's companion along with Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she worked alongside Smith as well as the fact that she spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her career has been in the entertainment industry since 1987. She has however had a greater presence on television rather than in movies. Eva is best known for her work on the show Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. The latter even garnered her two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards and gave her a chance to experiment with her talents in music. In addition to being an actor, Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneur. Eva is married three times and has a daughter with her second partner.
