Ina-Garten
Ina Garten has been known as a well-known American writer of cook books over the years. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina Garten began her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget reports. Her first impression was that her job to be intellectually stimulating, however, she eventually lost interest and opened a food specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the store extremely successful prior to selling it and picking up the pen to begin writing her first book. Many more cookbooks and magazine columnists that followed. In the meantime, her Food Network television show too made its debut and became a huge success. The company also offers a wide range of products ranging from cooking supplies as well as storage containers and equipment. Ina has never been to any cookery schools or had a job in a restaurant. She is completely self-taught. Her name is ascribed to her easy style of cooking as well as her easy approach to entertainment. She is known for her simple recipes such as Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and the Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
