Zoe-perry
Perry is a Chicago native who was born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. However, her parents did not allow her to act until she was an adult because of the negative effects that stress could affect their child. Perry acknowledged that she was not confident in her acting during high school, but started doing it to meet new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she landed small roles in series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness brought Perry her back home California, where theater jobs were available. Perry was a part of Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. In 2015, she appeared with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was a part of nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family. In 2017, Perry starred in the role of a political thriller Scandal alongside her father. She also played the young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite the fact that she has a connection with her family to the character, she was offered the role via an audition.
